The WORK

An “almost finished” project that was running (kind of).  The bike has a great look with its cafe seat mixed with high tracker pipes and drag style handlebars.  As handsome as it was, it needed a slew of mechanical and electrical upgrades to get it across the line.

We built up a set of custom tuned Mikuni race carburetors for it to give it the fire juice it needed as well as a custom made electronic ignition system to light that fire then gave it the full once over to make sure it could handle the heat.

The JOY OF SOUND

The XS series of bikes were Yamahas most popular parallel twin bikes.  Lots of power and easily modified for performance they make great donor bikes for the flat track world, choppers and cafe racers.  This one, with its high pipes and wee little baffles on the end has an obnoxious note that leaves a mischievous grin from ear to ear.
